It was used for some island BG landscape/elements in II, but other than that I don't know.

I don't think so... they announced it only at the occasion of II.

They have a very interesting interview on the homepage about the use of Vue in II, by the way, detailing exactly what it was used for and how it was done.

Vue was used for Pirates II only. At the beginning they were talking about using Vue in III but went with another program just to even the field. No Pun intended.

I bet if they had a problem with vue during the making of it, they didn't go to tech support, choose which sort of problem they had, check the knowledge base, then type a little question and then wait however long for someone to answer their question hey. Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

Agreed Esther...Infinite or XStream are no where near ready for a tight deadlined production enviroment.
A studio would never move from one program just to "even the field"...it's a big jump to use something different in a production enviroment and 9/10 studios would only do it for very valid reasons...either features, workflow, stability issues, price.
