Hi all i urgently need a monkey model for a non-profit org project akin to monkey boy @ rdna, but we don't have a credit card nor funds.  Is there a pointer to something out here? thanks so much!!!

There is a cute little monkey here:

LOL all, this forum rocks. Saru will have to do, as beggars can't be choosy eh. it's very difficult in nepal to get an international charge card, and usd accounts are even harder.  does anyone know the author of monkey boy? it's a really great model, a tourist had it here once in the studio, but we were polite and did not ask to copy. Maybe the author would donate to the "Stop the Monkey" business campaing of Nepal, supported by Jane Goodall who arrives here in the 5th of November. My job is to create an animated logo, hence the request for a monkey model. But let me see what i can make of Saru....cheers!

Question: arg, now my newbeeness is going to show. in this figure the eyes are props and the materials are all locked. how to unlock so i can edit? thanks!!!

coocooFORcocoapuffs posted Fri, 19 October 2007 at 1:27 AM

no forget the unlocking post above! i just need to learn how to create a fig from scratch, as i have never done but looks like a good time to learn. the eyes in Saru are props to the body. how can i replace those with say, the eyes from poser7/animals/dog eyes? the eye in the dog are part of the figure and not props.  do i need to get uv mapper out? thx...

If the eyes are parented props, it should be possible to rotate them with yRotate and xRotate.

Poser doesn't have much ability to model figures, so you'll have to do it in another program.

My visual indexes of Poser content are at http://www.sharecg.com/pf/rgagnon

Hi, well i want to replace them actually, but i am kinda new to Poser...just used to taking all the great content (figures, morphs, props, etc.) and manipulating that.  But i would like to take this character and edit it the way i like...any program suggestions? i have carrara, vue, & c4d now. Anyway, here is where I am at now (I could do the project in Photoshop, but I want to maintain a 3d model for other media, like film and flash animation:
