Hi everyone,
The RANCH has undergone a big upgrade: a processing power of 340 GHz is now allocated to each Vue project (from 160 GHz previously). We have redone all our benchmarks for this occasion and updated many pages of the website.
Please redownload and read the new Renderfarm User Guide (v2.00), which has also been significantly updated.
Thanks for your attention and see you soon on the RANCH!
Fred

I was reading about the Ranch service online and it says it requires a PC program called 7-zip but on the 7-zip page, it doesn't seem to be available for the Mac. Is there a Mac program that can decompress these files too? The Mac can automatically decompress regular zip files so is the 7-zip format different? Just wondering....

synergy543,
The 7-Zip format is indeed available for the Mac. Look in the 7-Zip download section and you will find several OSX Mac variants (p7zip, EZ 7z, 7zX). Many RANCH customers have Macs and use these utilities without any problem.
