Going to The Cure when they hit Vancouver in the Spring time!!! That's gonna be a good show!! I didn't realize that The Cult were still together!!

RATZ!! Just checked their website and no Canadian dates on their current tour!! Booooo!!!!
Thanks Karen... now I can't get She sells sanctuary out of my head!!! Love was such a good album!!! I remember buying it on vinyl and cassette!! Think that would have been '85!! Wow... I listened to Love, Depeche Mode's Black Celebration and The Cure's Standing on the beach non stop that year!! That was cool cuz '84 kinda sucked with WHAM! and Frankie goes to Hollywood dominating the airwaves!! LOL! Funny thing in '84 (grade 8) I had bad frosted WHAM! hair and the stooopid RELAX & Choose Life t-shirts!!! Was happy to get out of that phase!!

Loved the Cure, Depeche Mode as well! Grade 8 in '84??? Now I do feel very old...LOL!! I was married and already four years into military service back then. Liked BOC as well as other bands too. My musical tastes are very wide.

Don' Fear the Reaper is still a favorite for me!!! It went well with the cheezy goth stuff I was getting into in the mid to late 80's!! It was cool when "Electric" came out cuz it brought the metal heads and alternative rock/goths together and then the common enemy (in highschool) was the redneck country music fans!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Too funny thinking about all the stupidity involved in highschool cliques!!!
Hope ya have a blast at The Cult P.A.!!!!!!!!

Nope, The Cult, formerly Southern Death Cult. Decent band but not, IMO as good as the mighty Killing Joke. :)

Blue Oyster (or Erster, if you're from New England..;) Cult. not to be confused with the Cult, My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult, Faster Pussycat Kill Kill, Killing Joke, etc...;)
I just thought of 'Heart and Soul'...but I was wierd, I thought he was channeling Jim Morrison...;)
My one chance to go see the Cult was in the mid-90s, but I had an employee meeting I had to be at insted (being a grownup sucks sometimes...;)

Nice pakled!!! A fine performance in "Lateral Thinking Theatre"!!!
"Faster Pussycat" was a band from the 80's... First hit was "Don't change that song"
"Faster Pussycat Kill Kill" was a movie... Directed by Large Breast Afficianado Russ Meyer....
I figured after the Lateral Thinking Theatre episode we needed a "Yet another useless fact from the past" episode!! HEH!

I'm all excited about Ralph Stanley on an upcomming Friday and Del McCoury the Following Day.
