I don't know what happened, but she closed her site :(

http://francemi.net/

She had so many great textures, backgrounds and even models. Her's was one of the first sites I went to when looking for background images.  And I was fortunate enough to download some of her newest textures a couple weeks ago.

Such a shame :(

Tsk, what's going on.  Sigh.

Both of them had good items for Poser users.

I looked up MoeGoofie's homepage here, and he has an explanation about why he's left.

Oh, OK, sounds like he's going to re-focus his life. Happy for him. Hope Francemi will be OK too.

Founded in her deviantArt account: why the decision to remove art from here?

I removed it because I'm ashamed of it.

**April 2006 I decided to do something about my weight. It took 10 months to lose 55 pounds and 6 inches of my waist. When that happened I made a goal to get back to cycling and take up running. I tried to get back onto my bike - which is now 18 years old and it didn't work. A new body and old training equipment. I gave up the goal I had and settled for just being in shape. However, after about six months it faded a bit and I struggled to stay as fit as I was. Tomorrow I start a brand spanking new workout program - 12 DVD's, a hefty nutrition guide and lots of support. In 90 days I hope to have abs and I know I will have a brand spanking new bicycle.

Sometimes I believe that artists get into a rut of cranking out cookie cutter images - appeasing themselves of course, but appeasing their audience equally. They don't recognize the rut and/or pretend it doesn't exist so they can continue in their mundane pathway. If art imitates life then there are a lot of predictable, steadfast, risk-less people in this world and I don't want to continue to be one of those people.

I thought it would hurt or pain me to delete all of my artwork from Rosity and PoserPros and 3Dcommune and artzone - here i put everything in storage 'cause it was easier. It didn't hurt. When I deleted the files to my website, i thought i'd be pissed off - but instead - it was kinda fun. So where am I now? I'm right here, with Poser open waiting for me to create something.

The difference is I'm waiting on direction from my "guidance" counselor - the Holy Spirit to direct me how to proceed. I have a feeling I won't be waiting long - 'cause I trust in God and believe that the most successful images have come from Him and not from the gut feeling inside.

No, don't be sorry to see me leave, rejoice that something bigger and more amazing is birthing. It's only a matter of when and how - before where happens.

Change is good, and it hurts. But in the end, only growth can come from it. And that growth is what I desperately need.

**OMG...

That is Francemi? How did you find that at Deviantart? I can't find any galleries by artist names.

I think that message is old. It's dated April 2006 from what you have posted.

Her website sounds like something bad happened though :(

I hope that it really is a personal quest for self improvement and reflection and that she hasn't left because someone did or said something nasty :(

No, he's MoeGoofie. I apologize. My mistake: I wanted to write: 'founded in HIS deviantArt account'

And the message is '6 days 8 hours ago' from now

These two threads have to do with Francemi's decision.

To understand the latter, one needs to know of the first. Unfortunately its first post has been altered, but basicly it was about a club where every member was to contribute a freebie every month.

The original thread about the club.

The thread with the outcome.

I don't know about the other 'leechers', but for me it took a while to convince myself that most freebie makers want anyone who enjoys their work to have and use them. Of course, I also prefer to buy from those who give freebies, both because I can be sure they do quality work and because their generosity is truly appreciated.

Casette posted Sun, 11 November 2007 at 9:13 AM

I don't understand. Looks like a Florida dude, CD_2007 posted a direct link to a Francemi's freebie INTO HER CLUB and she got as angry as he's closing the club

MoeGoofie saw 'the light' and suddenly is ashamed of his drawer career and deleted his pics (time ago he was very proud of his gay artwork). France found a link to her club and suddenly closed the site. I'm the only one thinking that some artists here are taking disproportionate decissions?

Something is wrong in the World...

The freebie CD_2007 posted the link to was made by himself. I just want that clear. It was his freebie, hosted at the club site.

Acadia posted Sun, 11 November 2007 at 11:37 AM

Well, regardless of the reason for their sites closing, it's a shame :(

I wish them both well in their quest for personal discovery :)

The reason they quit is drama. Some people thrive on drama, even though it destroys them. Look at her explanation of losing weight. She can't just eat less and excercise more, she has to buy 12 DVDs and books and diets. When your life is like a roller coaster, you're on a ride rather than in control. Don't be fooled into thinking the high highs, the periods of uncontrollable joy are good, because those are just the rides up to the crest where the fall begins.

Please let's not diss anyone :(  We all have our own way of dealing with things in life.

Wow. Who would have ever thought that I could have made an impact to make someone diss on me. Funny how people always ASSUME stuff about people when they don't even know us. Thank you Acadia - for your genuinity.

I have returned my website at http://www.moegoofie.com and I even reopened my gallery at Deviant Art.

As for the freebies, I'm going to start making new freebies and new products.

It wasn't for drama's sake that I left, but for personal reasons, so if you would like to be mature and discuss them with me in private, Flibbits, you're welcome to do so. The sad part is you didn't actually READ the previous posts to understand that MoeGoofie, a GUY, decided to get his body in shape, not the other artist.
