I am interested in a product by humster3d called office set 3 and office set 2. He says that the product requirement is 3ds max or other 3ds supported program. He also says in his readme that the products can be used in Poser so I sent him an email asking if he could tell me exactly where the files would go in the Poser 6 or Poser 7 runtime because I am not familiar with 3ds max file structure. I do not think that he understands my question at all. Please could you ask him to explain clearly how and where the office set files would go in the Poser runtime or does his installer put them into the correct folders automatically?

Hi PXP,

I downloaded the office 2 set, and it comes with a 3ds file and the textures.  In order to use it in Poser, you need to import the 3ds file.

This is what I did.

  1. extracted the contents to an "Office2" folder on my desktop
  2. loaded Poser and did "File", "Import" - 3D studio
  3. then I located the office 3ds file from the office2 folder on my desktop
  4. upon loading, Poser asked me for the textures, so I simply clicked on each texture asked for from my office2 folder and it loaded fine

Here is the item loaded in Poser (unrendered) - you can click on the image above to view the larger version.

Hope this helps.

I should also note that it loads into Poser as a full scene, and each element is not individual.
