Weird thing happened today while I was retouching some scans from 10-year old color slides. When I prepared to clone out this little 'artifact', I saw that it had eight legs.. ;o-)

Does it feed on color slides..?

Mind you, this is a 36mm slide... Jeez, how small is this guy..?

All the old slides I have boxed away..oh my.  Slide eaters or appreciaters?

Well, I have never seen these before either... considering that on the first photo it is already 4.5 times enlarged, and the zoomed-in specimen is about 40 times lifesize... (at least on my monitor).

You can't see them with the naked eye, but they're out there..!

Well, the good part is, someone (or something) likes my photos.. ;o)

Oh, and with its eight legs, it's not actually an insect... my guess is that it's what we call a 'dust mite', a member of the arachnid or spider family.

That's intertesting ... very interesting ...

Those things eat dust ... right?

**If we could just train the little critters to come and clean the house once a week and then leave....ROTFLMAO

Or is it a really big bug that's survived from millions of years ago?
