I did not have this problem before. After installing all my plugins it started happening.
Any ideas on what can be causing it.
Oh yea I am using Daz 1.8

Is that a render or the preview? If it's a render, what are your settings?

That is both the preview and render.
I just did a quick render to show the preview.
That is how the Skin looks when applied and in render using a veriaty of settings.

This is a long shot but could it be the bump settings or a bump map ending up on a displacement map? Try a closer render with the the focal distance on the camera you use changed to about 100.

The Problem came when I Instaled all my plugins.
before that the skin texture was normal. I do not know which
would cause this but before all was fine.
I just checked It only happens to a few skins
( It would take some time to check them all).
If someone else has Aymee

I wonder if they are having
the same problem ? I looked at the the files and the skin
is smooth and well done ther is just something about it that Daz
is not seeing properly. ???

OK, well if I do a render as in finished image Render is fine.
My problem now is why with a few of my skins the preview looks so bad :-(

The preview uses a smaller version of the texture (there's a slider in Edit>Preferences>Interface to control how much smaller). If the downsampling happens to hit the frequency of the pattern in the skin or other texture in the wrong way you will get interference patterns.

What I mean as preview is as you see it in th work aera and as you are working on the scene.
once sampled using the higher settings it looks fine but the quick render and skin tex that you
see while working on the figure look terrible. I have noticed that it is mostly happening on
the higher res textures.

If you have ambient occlusion on in the quick render, but with a low sample value, you'll get a lot of splothing. May be that's is.
