Hello, folks. Who doesn't remeber those amazing shaders created by our friend TOXE, using the DCG Plugin ShaderOps? I just like to share a nice feature of these plugin to create explosions! Simply using a vertex object with some atomize and explosion modifiers. Working with the glow channel to create the fire (a variation of the TOXE's shaders), using his smoke, add the 3DAura and Blur pos-production filters, the results are very good (IMO)! And the best part is, a fast rendering without particles on a still image. With that old fountain and volumetric fire primitive the results are better:
I'll post the explosion shader here very soon. Thanks TOXE!

Hey Noviski!
it's nice to see that since long time my shaders are still useful. I'm really curious to see your settings...
Thanks!

Hi, TOXE! You have no idea how useful your shader package is! Thanks for share, really!
I send the shader to the Carrara Free Stuff Section here, but you can download it directly from here:

Thanks again, man!

Hi Noviski, you're a very kind guy:-)
unfortunately, as before discussed some days ago in the forum i'm still on C4 PRO, because DAZ don't have upgrades from that version... Can you convert it for C4?
Thanks

Sorry, TOXE! It's a shame, but this shader uses the Alpha Channel feature, I'm not sure if the Carrara 4 have it. :(
TOXE posted Tue, 20 November 2007 at 5:19 PM
Yes, C4 have alpha channel...

Toxe, I guess you only want the .cbr Shader file? That should work in any version of Carrara.
I am sure Noviski could let you have this, if not PM me.
I keep a special folder of the Toxe shaders in my Browser.

LOL! I have my TOXE shader folder too, don't know from how many years! It's a very useful package.
Bryan, if the .cbr works with both Carrara versions, I'll send the file to TOXE's PM.
Thank you! ;)

Thanks. It's a great shader to add to the folder.

I've been trying to download these shaders, and I keep on getting corrupted files. Wouls somebody be willing to email these to me?

James, I believe some files are for Mac (name starting with "._") and others for Windows.

I figured that much, but I keep on getting messages when I extract the zip file that say: "Cannot Copy File, Cannot Read from source or disk"

@JamesRoden- Just out of curiosity, are you running Windows2000? There was a mention about this message on Microsoft's support site.

JamesRoden, I send to you a PM with my TOXE's shaders folder. It's a ziped file. If you still getting error messages, could be your decompress application.

Keep an eye out for the occasional sales. I got C6 Pro for $200, and the other version was only $100 during the sale. I know it's not an upgrade, but it still seems comparable to the old pre-Daz pricing, IIRC. I'm new to Carrara and I'd hate to pass someone as talented as you on your way out!
