Lately, when I double click to add a character in Poser it gives me 2 of the same of what I clicked on. Any thoughts on why this might be happening? It's a real workflow killer!

Maybe your mouse is double-keying. Try just highlighting the thumb, then click on the double checkmark at the bottom of the libraby panel.

You're welcome! I hope that was it. I haven't had to reinstall Poser since P4, but I can't remember it being a lot of fun ;)

I had this problem recently. I went into Windows Control Panel and checked the mouse, it was set for Double Click. I changed the speed setting, etc and nothing worked. When I clicked on anything it would open 2 of it. If I clicked on a program it sometimes opened 2 of the program and the program would lock up. I tried clicking the left mouse button very slowly and only 1 copy opened then.
I went and bought a new mouse and this solved the problem. The mouse had become defective and when single clicking the mouse button apparently the contacts were sticking or faulty making the system think it had been double clicked.
