Is there a tool that converts letters (also japanese ones) into 3D objects? I did this one manually which was kind of fun but took a lot of time.

Attached Link: Wings 3d

or Wings 3d, which has the added benefit of being a modeler. Only drawback is you have to know the name and path back to the ttf file you're looking for.

Thanks.
I have been using Wings3D a lot but I never realized it has a 3D text feature. Cool.
However, neither Wings nor Elefont support Japanese :-(

hmm...it depends, I suppose. I'm not sure if there's 'real' Japanese ttf fonts out there. I've seen some that look nice (to gaijins, anyways...;) but may not actually 'mean' anything.

If you go through a search on 'free fonts', you'll see millions. I've downloaded one or two 'Japanese' fonts (the simple one; I can't remember if that's katakana or hiragana..;)  Give it a shot
