What do you mean by you "lose the runtime?"   Is it deleted from your hard drive or is it still there and Poser isn't able to locate it?

Also, how are you installing / unzipping files?  Do you do it to a folder on your desktop first before dragging it to your main runtime or do you put your files directly into the runtime?

well I have the C/prog file Poser 6open and then I drag and drop the files from the zip to the runtime and let go,
after about 20 instals of figures etc I went to drag an other set of files (Textures,figures,and geometries) and low and behold no runtime folder.
The files already installed were still there and so I opened Poser 6 and it works fine.closed down P 6 open ed the Main Poser 6 fil;e to continue but no run time. folder

Strange No?

Pete
thanks for comming to the recue

Why are you doing the drag & drop thing? Is there special reason?
It just seems like alot of work when you could just use an unzip utility to install them.

Never could find out how that worked,Could you explain?

Download (save) the zipped item to your desktop(or the folder you stash them in pending installation).
Then right click on it. One of the choices that appears is EXTRACT FILES. Click on that and just follow directions.
You will just need to point it to either Poser 6 or the name of the external runtime you are using.   The path should read something like this;
C:Program Files e frontierPoser 7
The file just drops into place.

The problem with the drag n drop method is that  the new file will overwrite the old one if you aren't careful., extracting just puts the new stuff in place without doing that. And if it does it a duplicate item it gives you a warning.
