Hi all.
I've had some folks asking about morphs between Zbrush and Poser so I thought I would create a new tutorial explaining how to make the two programs handshake sucessfully.
Visit my website tutorials page and the download is there for you.

Happy morphing!

Hi Ray, (sorry for the name change, was reading something else at the time LOL)
Thanks for the new tutorial, dose this one pick up where the last two (making the orc haed) left off or is this a totaly new one?
Steve

This is new but, you can still use the same methods and add to the other ones (tutorials) I've posted. I have not made a tutorial in regards to displacement mapping yet, but this tutorial still covers some good ground.
I continually use the same methods as they have proven true for me and work without fail, and if you've tried to make Poser and any other program friends you will understand that any path that works...is one to keep.

LOL ho yes, I have tryed getting Poser to play nicely with others, just viewed the new vid, it's great thanks. I have also just bookmarked you tutorials page and will be checking it for more vids regulely... Would love to see how to get that orc into Poser with displacements and maybe even textures created in Zbrush.

DarkEdge I hope you don't mind me saying this but your site seems very slow changing pages, I click an option & wait ages (it seems), is this intentional? By the way thanks for the tutorial :D

Lucifer,
No, it must be the host. The main page only loads once and each seperate page is quite small size wise. Thanks for letting me know though, I'll look into it.

That's a good tutorial, I hadn't twigged on how to import/export multiple bodyparts without them becoming un-welded and basically impossible to morph smoothly. The lead-in's a little long though :P

Your site is very nice looking. Not slow from my side
DarkEdge posted Sat, 24 November 2007 at 10:58 AM
Thanks Martial.
Good to hear about the site speed as well, because it loads fine from my side too. Maybe it's a glitch.

Must be my connection then, I'll check it out later when I'm finished posting on forums :D

Not slow on my end either. Perhaps it was one of those transitional things... or a bunch of people hitting the site at once... Nice site :)
Gonna check out the tutorials... I thried making a JCM in Z and failed miserably. Can't get the bends to look anything like in Poser. Hrm...

Okay, thanks.
Lucifer's connection must be biggering up from all the sulfur and heat.
I have no doubt kitty that you will slay the z beast. I believe there is a hotkey to use for transposing that will simulate a joint, I think it's alt but not sure. Whichever key it is does make for a better joint rotation, masking and soft blurring the mask might assist you too.

Excellent tutorial, short sweet and to the point. I just did a quick test with v4 after watching and it worked a treat. One notable difference though instead of using Objaction scaler I used Poser Scaler. Poser Scaler can be found at Zbrush Central in the ZBrush ZScript Utilities Forum. The thread is called Poser Scaler plugin for ZBrush 3.1 . Once installed it lives in your Zplugin menu and makes short work of impor/export for Poser figures. Thanks again for the tutorial it really made my day.
Trevor.

Good all, glad it's helping.
Yes I use the Poser scaler too works great other than being a tad bit slow.

DarkEdge, your tute is no longer there. Are you planning to put it back up in the near future ?
DarkEdge posted Sun, 06 January 2008 at 7:38 PM
Yes, it will be back up.
I'm under going some site changes, so within the next couple of weeks and they should be back online.
lundon_Don posted Mon, 07 January 2008 at 9:05 AM
Please post here when you have it back up. I'm also looking forward to the tutorial.
MegaJax posted Mon, 07 January 2008 at 7:01 PM
OK, while DarkEdge is sorting out his site you can find the tutorial HERE!
I have cleared it with him and I will also be uploading his Zbrush Orc tutorials later today untill his site is back up to date.

Thanks so much, MegaJax.
And thank you, DarkEdge, for the great tutorial.

Happy to help out, these are a must see for anyone interested in using Zbrush3.1 to create morphs for use in Poser.
I have just uploading parts 1 & 2 of the fantastic Orc Morph tutorials (these are more to do with working in Zbrush showing some of the tools you can use and what each one dose than the first tutorial I uploaded) Unfortunatly though we will all have to be a little patient with Ray as he is run off his feet at the moment and has not yet had time to finish the final part of this series yet.
You can find these at the same place as the first one, enjoy all!!
I will keep them there for as long as needed.
