Hi all
So, with the really huge interest in chapter1, Ive put up chapter 2 of "Devil's Tears" at youtube.
This is rather a mediocre scene in the animation, but sets the stage for the action to come in the next/final 2 chapters of the short.
Interesting facts::
The interior of the ship is all bryce render.
The ship stills in space, the ship fleet, the animation of the characters is Carrara
all special effects are After Effects
some of the shots are over 50 layers deep.
and, this one scene will fill my DAZ tellware obligation..for ohhh..about 1000 years!
Can you believe, that my girlfriend's daughter (girlfriend appears in next scene and is voice of both chomper and cyberv) asked us to "act normal" when her new boyfriend came over while we were doing the filming for this?
lol

I thought girls telling their family to 'act normal' around their boyfriends are one of the fundamental constants in the laws of physics?
Either way, this stuf is pretty cool! Please do upload the other chapters ;-) It's quite a good story so far :D

Love the part where Bryce eats up all the resource! Nice work.
(I wonder if Brad and Angelina's kids will say the same thing?) ;)

Hangon! If the computer on the planet wouldn't install Bryce - (You need to tell 2 people about it etc) - how did they install Byce on the ship's computer?
Continuity error, me thinks.

really?...how many did you tell when you installed it?
and again..another "poke" at bryce...which in the final scene is rambled on about by chomper.
Computron's literal thinking is what made them go to space...its what leads to all of the events that come to pass.
all because of "you must tell two people"
there are LOTS of these in the movie, you just have to catch them.
thanx all

lol @ bryster
actually, I had played with the idea of calling the movie "tell two people" instead of "devil's tears". However, if you dont already know whats coming...the final title was better. Anyhow, its all because of the "tell two people" that all the things that happen..happen. If it hadnt been in the installation, then..well, the ending wouldn't be.
it'll all make sense later
:)

It's just so nice to have actual decent (with stories and acting etc) Bryce animations up on YouTube - instead of all the fly-bys. You rock man!

I'm thinking maybe the spaceship's computer came preinstalled with Bryce on it.
Anyrate not as glaring an error as doing the -Whatever - run in 17 parsecs, not noticing that the Girl Scout was two or three stories tall until she asked for tree-fiddy or Cardinal Fang wearing a WWI aviator's helmet.
