I am creating a poser 3d scene which needs to look like a realistic moon terrain (on the surface). The scene is to look like the pictures of Apollo 11 Not a just a superimposed Background pic.... I have at my resources Poser 7, Daz Sudio,Vue 5 , and Bryce 6. I am not quite at the skill level yet to create my own. The moon terrain is so unique using recolored earth terains dont cut it or look too fakey. So I was hoping someone has already created one for import into any of these applications.

For giggles, I created a hi-poly convex "disc" and loaded it into UV Mapper Pro. I then loaded the "displacement" map and used the displacement tools to create a surface with physical geometry that even lowly ol' Poser 4 can use.
Yes, using the displacement render feature in Posers 5 , 6 and 7 upon the low-poly disc supplied in the set is more efficient; this was mainly a personal exercise to see how well I could produce an actual model.
Not too bad, actually.

Bill

I assume you must be the creator. I used Mapp's freebee Morphing Rock , used your textures on it and created some moon mountains and rocks to create the rest of the lanscape.
I really am happy with the result..
Thank you so much
Don

Wha...? Oh, no! RawArt is the creator, not me! I'm just an "end user" who merely performed a personal experiment using the displacement map he made that is included along with several texture maps and a convex, polygonal disk within a zip file.
I apologize for any confusion.
Sincerely,
Bill
