Let's make a Working Box prop using only Poser for use in Poser.
A Working Box (WB) can be used to adjust the size/scale of props and figures.
A WB can, also, be used to adjust the absolute position of a prop or figure in the studio.
It's much easier than you might think ... come along and find out how.
It's FREE, it' fun, it's funtastic.
NaySayGuy doesn't understand the funtastick part ... oh, well, that's predictable, n'est pas?!

BTW - Clicking on the image (above) will produce ... the same size image ... neat, huh ... ;=]

o.k., thanks for the WB tute, geep. ytrans = 0? p.s. I remembered why I can't accept money or enter contests - I always use free poser content, hence both instances would be prohibited by the terms of use of said freebies.

Thanks for the tut :) I know the answer! I think PNU's are a GOOD IDEA beacause then you can use the final object in any version of Poser and even DAZ|Studio and it will be the same size?
geep posted Tue, 27 November 2007 at 5:38 AM
Before Poser 5, we only had Pnu's which are the same as Wavefront OBJect units which makes them somewhat universal ... but I must toddle off now and prepare the next slide or I would stay and wax poetic about DGS and other wonders of Poser ... Ta ta .. for now ...

"It's best to use Pnu's" ... 'cos they make the ride softer and more comfy. Especially over pave (errm - I don't have an "acute e" on my keyboard.. Pave = cobbles in English).
Oh, and pnus = Tyres in English. Or Tires in American. Oh, no - that's pneus. Drat! the whole pun has got twisted. (pnu = a twisted pun..). I think I'm getting too Tired...

Hi Folks,
Here is a 91 x 91 thumbnail (above) that you can use for your props library for the Working Box prop because the image Poser generates when you save the prop may look quite fuzzy.
Just Right Click (on the image above) and "Save Image As..."
Then ... Locate the thumbnail image in your Props Library (where you saved the prop).
Replace the "Working Box.png" file with the new image.
Make sure to use the same filename for the new thumbnail image so Poser can find it.

Thanks Doc :) It always amazes me the complex things you can do with the Poser primitives. I think in many ways we are quite spoilt today with the plethora of free and cheap modelling programs. I remember my first attempt at using POVRay - Ooh a shiney ball on a chequered plane! and is that CLOUDS in the backgroud! Oohh look REFLECTIONS! I think in some ways many of us have lost that innocence. I know I have :`( , yet you seem to have preserved it. Well, as long as you are there to show us we don't have to break out Lightwave or Blender to build a simple (or quite complex) geometric shape, there will be some sense of wonder :)
