I need to throw a drink at somebody for a render in one of my comics. What's the best way to make a splash effect in PS?

Thanks for your time.

Splash effect...
Well, you can paint it by hand (Wacom Tablet, meaning), or you can actually photograph a splash an insert it into the picture with different modes to be able t see through it, as well as shading and lighting.

Post a pic and let's see what we can come up with.

Here's the render. I'm trying to get it to look like she is throwing her drink at him and getting it on his shirt.

Thanks for your help. :)

Just before the impact.

this is just "quick & dirty" because my draw tablet is at the office and i'm using a block of wood for a mouse :)

but some of the things to keep in mind are:

  1. the fluid will travel in an arc and not a straight line
  2. you can't have more fluid than what would fit in the container
  3. fluid is NOT flat, there are shadows and highlights
  4. don't forget the droplets
