Parden, I have been away from 3d work a year or so, with the lastest version of Daz has it caught up to poser in it's ability to render and potential? Im asking as Im trying to decide since it's been so long which to relearn.

In many ways, yes, but in other ways, not yet. :) While I render in DAZ because I like it's render
engine and lighting much better, two functions Poser has have not yet been implimented in
DAZ Studio. The Material Room and the Setup Room. Those are the only two Poser Rooms
that I feel DS needs, those, and the ability to edit joint parameters. So, I still use Poser when
I need those abilities, but DS for everything else. There is a program, java I think, that does
a good job creating a Mat Room for DS, so functionality is fast catching up to Poser. :) This
MAT room program is called Eilir and is in the DS Freepository in the DAZ Forums.

I don't think DAZ Studio does the Dynamic Hair Room either.

True, but dynamic hair, while possibly useful, is not essential. The rooms for materials and
rigging figures are. Those are the only two rooms I use. Dynamic cloth has possiblities, and
I hope DS will do this soon, and better than Poser. The Face Room is a waste of space,
however, as I don't use ef figures much. :)

If you add pendragons free shader setup you can do pretty much anything that can be done in poser. Though standard tiling would rock. I'm more impatient for the dynamic cloth than dynamic hair honestly. And yes rigging would be lovely.
