**Shoes hanging on a power line??  I've always been curious about this, it seems that the kids love to throw shoes up on the power lines??  Does this happen in your neck of the woods??? I've seen it in many different towns & states, have you ever seen this????

I'm posting 2 images, one is just a close up of the same image...**

I've never seen that around here. Then again, powerlines around here are so high up, it's quite a feat if you manage to throw them over. The only feasable alternative would be the powerlines for the train.

I figured this might be a tough one, but I was hoping that we're not the only place on the planet where this odd occurance takes place...  ;^)

I've seen that quite often around here... I too am curious as to the reason why!    And that is not an inexpensive pair of shoes...

We have it here in the USA, as well.

I had always assumed that it was an end of school year exaltation.

Some say that it is a territory marker -- but I doubt that is true.

In South of Spain, when you see the shoes like your picture it's when someone lose a game or he have a accident... I never took picture about them, but I remember to see a lot shoes in the Skate pist...

In Colombia or other place of South of America, it's symbol of drug, someone die or point of sale...

I could kick myself in the butt for not taking a picture of a tree I passed, along a highway out in Nevada, that was full of shoes!! I will make it a point to stop next time I'm out that way.
