Subject: finding 3d people with ball joints

Anyone konw a good place to find 3d models of people that are ball jointed as opposed to single skin mesh?
Poser exports people/body parts but not with ball joints.

Thanks

What about the Ball Joint Doll?

A match made in ball joint heaven. :)

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

oh...well, there's Woody (stock Poser character), but I'm not sure what age he is. only other one that comes to mine is the robot Brat, which is in the freebie archives at Daz 3d. How you get there (this week) I'm not sure. it's been posted in the past how to get there.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

ptrope:

Nice figure, thanks for calling it to my attention. I notice that WW2 does not support it. I wonder if PhilC is considering adding this to the huge list of supported figures? That might make it worth the price.

The Ball Joint Doll (BJD) by MayaX is $25.00 (USD). Looking through the Renderosity Store, I find a few items for the BJD. Thorne and sarsa have a Ball Joint Boy (I guess that would be BJB), on sale now for a very reasonable $7.50 (USD). Do any of the cloths converters support these figures?

CrossDresser currently supports BJD and rumor has it that there is a strong possibility that WW2 will support it in the future.

I suppose if one were crafty (and had Lightwave or some other 3D modeler), one could create the body parts from an aged M3 by exporting OBJ files for each part, clean up the joint areas, then use them by replacing body parts of the BJD with props. It wouldn't be easy, mind you ...

BJD for WW2 will be released soon. ^^ You can get Ball Joint Doll, then Ball Joint Boy, and if you want the Dollfie face, get Ball Joint Doll Type 2. I have already done this. I will need to make a custom face though for a look that's more my speed. Long story short, it's Do-able. Also, you might be able to use BJD's ball conforming ball-joints figure on another male figure with a WW2 conversion. So, theoretically, you could convert a figure like James into a Ball Joint Doll. Just need a morph to hide the knees and elbows and such. Hmm... maybe I should try it? ^^ bB
