two suggestions
If I'm looking for a V3 outfit I don't want to scroll through 10 pages of Miki2 clothes, which I dont own. Make a search function specific to a figure or product, it would save me time and inspire me to buy something.
When showing a graphic of a product tell me what's not included; I found a great hair set on a figure, I didn't want the figure, Just the hair, but nowhere in the readme or anywhere else could I find out what hair it was (and don't get me started again on the search features), needless to say I couldn't find it, I didn't buy it. It's also misleading for someone to see a figure in an outfit and hair and props and you buy essentially skin, and get nothing else with it. Not everyone is aware of this fact. The hair on the model I wanted said nothing about the hair, but never said "Hair not included" or "Clothes not included" I could only tell from the readme with the products listed that the figure came with nothing but textures and some morph targets.
There are probably a million posts like this, I'm too lazy to add mine to a thread.

Thank you for your suggestion I will pass it on to the marketplace.
As for the search this is already on the list.

I second this one!
Currently there doesn't seem to be a rule of having one promo image that is bare bones showing what is in the package.
So many vendors add so much to their promos, and do so much post work that you can't tell what is in the package unless you view the readme file. Not many people care to read a text file, or pick through a bunch of text on a bunch of images, or should they have too, in order to figure out what is in the package, only to find out that 90% of what they are seeing in the images is "artistic license" and not included.
Not so long ago I bought a package that had some second skin textures. In all of the promo images, the figure was shown wearing a gorgeous chocker/drop style necklace, even the ones showing the second skins. No where in the advertising did I see that the necklace was in fact a prop and not part of the second skins. I wrongly assumed that the necklace was part of the second skin because I had not seen that necklace. I even asked on the forums if anyone knew what necklace that was. No one did. So I bought it only to find out that the package was a morph, a texture and second skins, but that the necklace was not part of the second skin and was in fact a prop.
I realize that competition is steep and that vendors want to put their best face forward when presenting their packages. However, there should be a rule that at least one of the promo images shows absolutely nothing but what is included in the package so that people can readily see what they are buying.

Maybe it is some kind of a marketing strategy. The keepers of Renderosity probably think that when people don't find what they looking for, they buy something else instead of that!
Kind of forced advertising.

It's not entirely wrong what you said. The search function is not very pleasing and hardly ever delivers what is searched for.
As for the advertising / product page issue... If I am to pay more than 5 Dollars I ashould have 5 minutes available to really look at the product, haven't I? The world is not without peril and in WalMart you have to read the product description as well if you do not want to buy E 605.
My five cents.

I'm glad to see a novie like mself is not way off. I agree, when buying a character it should come with whatever is shown in the "marketing" (hype) picture. I know there are disclaimers but that's a cop out...sorry. Customers expect fair treatment. If you don't include it (whatever it is) don't show it in the main pic, sub-pics for examples...ok. Hair is the worst offender.
