Does anyone know if I need to have Poser or Daz to import and open up files in trueSpace using the LUUV plugin? I mean, can I use LUUV to just import the file(s) to trueSpace from a desktop folder, not exported from Poser or Daz Studio?

The plugin will import ANY OBJ file. Remember that while DS and Poser use the OBJ format,
it is Wavefront's native format, not Poser's. The only gripe I have with the plugin, is that it's
export sucks wind. Unless they fixed that with tS 7. So the short answer is YES, if it is OBJ
format, the plugin will import it. :) The plugin will NOT do native Poser or DS files however.

And no, you do not need Poser or DS. :)
