While looking thru different sites for more information about photoshop, I came across this site:
http://www.urbanfonts.com/free-fonts.htm. Which was suggested by http://www.ndesign-studio.com/. I found the site very informative and will be stopping by more often.

Good a new font site. Thanks menschtx.

Note the links at the bottom of the page to other fonts sites and the The Free Site you have a really big list of 3 pages of font sites
http://www.thefreesite.com/Free_Fonts/

Here is a nice site of over 10,000 fonts and you can even type things in what you want by clicking "change preview text" to see if what you want to will look ok for the font your looking for.
http://betterfonts.com/

http://www.dafont.com/

http://www.myfonts.com/
That also has "WhatTheFont?
http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/
This may help you find out what font was used in a Image.

This site is a pain to put links in and even worse when your doing more then one link and then when you keep typing it wants to turn it into a link.

Hi, my name is ron and I'm a font addict lol. I've had to learn to limit myself to fonts I may actually use and to delete duplicates.

Watch out bonestructure installing to many fonts. I have a "Other Font" folder I keep all added fonts in that I dn't install but use. To use a font without installing it you have to open the font file and keep it open and then it should show up the list of fonts in what ever program you are using.

Maybe we should list some good free font managers and viewers in this tread too.
I will look and post later.

I don't know if I'd call it a font manager but I use AMP font viewer from Ampsoft. Free program and extremely useful to me. If you click on view all fonts it gives a page with all font samples. I've found that vital to me when working with fonts.

Thanks the AMP font viewer seems to be cool but only just looked at it a short time. I got the xip version so no install is need.
I found the other one I was talking about and aready had on my PC but could not find it.
By default it downloads as tft but I also have just the zip version.
But the Font Think is beta and it has not been updated in years but works.
