Hey,
I am having troubling lip syncing to Michael 3 in Mimic. The mouth will not move etc. I would just like to say I have done this fine before, but it is not working now, so I must of missed something and forgot how to do it, so please can someone help?
Just to explain the process I go through importing to Mimic. I loaded the Michael 3 sr1 file in Poser. Added all head morphs to Michael 3. Added my textures and posed Michael 3. Then I save the CR2 file into the Daz people folder.
Load Mimic. Add my sound file and then my text file. Load the Michael 3 DMC file. Load my CR2 file and then create the project.
What am I missing here?
Hope someone can help out soon.
Cheers
Matt

Inject M3 Expression morphs and save as a new CR2 for use in Mimic (as stated in the Mimic documentation).
As far as I know, All Head morphs should include these - but I could be wrong. I would explicitly inject the Expression morphs and see if the results differ.
ETA: Just noticed that you say "Poser 7" in the subject. Ah. Poser 7 and Mimic aren't on good speaking terms (pardon the pun) from what has been discussed at DAZ. Make sure that "Use External Binary Morph Targets" and "Use File Compression" are unchecked in General Preferences:Misc. Otherwise, you may need to resort to Poser 6.

Thanks for the reply,
Yes I believe that the head morphs do cover expressions as well, but I did also add expressions seperately before thinking that it may be that, but stil know joy.
I also read the same advice about unchecking those boxes, but i did not uncheck both of them only one was unchecked by default, so I will try that in a minute a let you know if it works.
I know Poser 7 is not the issue as its worked fine before with the same version.
Cheers
Let you know how I get along.

Ok it works now, so I conclude that it was the other box that needed unselecting.
You brought this to my attention, so thanks you very much.

Or you could just download the latest M3 update or reset your purchase of M3 if you don't want to update and rather have the full figure in the latest version. This one comes with all the morphs necessary for Mimic preloaded.

I am more concerned now with Victoria 4 and mimic support. Is there any?
I downloaded some Phoneme's from dragon something or other, but that is not Mimic.
