Hi,
I made some sort of dressing screen in c4d. It has four similar parts. I imported the obj files in Poser, lined them up and exported the new obj to geometries. I made a phi file looking like this:
objFile :Runtime:Geometries:Mask's_Room:RS.obj
1 RS1 yzx
2 RS2 yzx
3 RS3 yzx
4 RS4 yzx
And I edit the obj file.
Now the point is that all the parts should stick together, but each part should rotate nicely over the Y-axis. So I used the joined editor. But rotating the parts results in a mesh.
What I want is:
rotation RS1: all the other parts follow.
rotating RS2: RS1 stays and RS3 and RS4 follow
rotating RS3: RS1 and RS2 stays, RS4 follows etc.
What do i do wrong? thanks for the support!

Ok adding some bones did the job. think i'll manage, case clossed

If the figure parts shouldn`t bend then you can switch off bend in each part in the properties, if the parts should bend then you would have to adjust the joint settings for each part to make it work properly in the joint editor.
A phi file will make a figure but it wont automatically set up the joint parameters as well.

After reading some tutorials i found all the info i needed at the end. the switch bend was part of it. thanks for your support :-)
