I am still plugging away with poser 5, but I've just run across a new problem. My render is cutting off the top of Michael's head. (scowl) I Know there's a simple solution to this but so far I'm not finding it. I'd appreciate some input. Thanks much

there should be guides visible in the preview window that show what area is framed by the camera. It would be a matter of moving the camera back, or rotating it up , or changing the focal length or zoom to framer your figure better .

If you change the window size, Poser will want to try and force the render back to whatever you had before -- you'll see this with dark grey sections top and bottom, which are outside whatever Poser considers the "live area". Go to render dimensions, click on render to current window size, then see what happens when you return to preview.

I've had this problem too.
I think it occurs when you have your preview window is not set to the same ratio as your "render to exact resolution" ratio.
As I render in "widescreen" ratio, I ensure that my preview window is set to the same proportions (ratio).
