GAH.  I'm probably using the wrong terms for searching, so I apologise if this has been covered already.

I needed a tutorial for cutting two characters to combine into one, specifically, to build a "chimera" from existing models.  (Like the cat and alligator, say, to make an allicator.) 

Is there a tutorial around that I'm just missing or not recognizing?  I've been reading Bloodsongs "Grafting new parts", but I'm not sure if that's it or if there's others, as well.  I usually go through as many tutorials as I can before I bail into a new project.  XD
