Has anyone else tried to texture this chair? I downloaded the mesh map, and painted a texture that I wanted to render on it.... now I have the texture set for all elements of the chair, but it wont render with the texture applied shrug It still renders the object color. I've never had this happen to me, does anyone else know what is causing this? Thanks! Deb

You set the color to white and it won't reset?

Steve, can you please do a map an object? I tried and I just don't have the knack of spreading it out so it's easy to texture. Thanks, Marque

i just opened it and went edit/ new uvmap/ box and hit ok then exported, (i didn't change any settings when i did this or saved it) then just did a texture fill in pic publisher and it worked fine :o)...ones like this are rare though LOL.........Steve

I emailed Daz about that and they fixed it so the download has the object mapped now. So a re-download and install will fix the problem.

Well, I guess I'm too caffiene deprived cause I downloaded and re-installed it and it's not working. I'll play with it later. Happy Easter! Marque

Before I re-installed I deleted the unmapped object file, maybe that is what did the trick? Perhaps it did not overwrite the object for you?

steveshanks posted Sat, 14 April 2001 at 4:14 PM
we must have posted at the same time there :o)...........thats weird coz it shouldn't make any difference (mines ok) the morph should be imbedded into the pp2 file....tell you what install the chair again but to a difrent directory and get the pp2 file out and replace the old one with it that should fix it ......Steve

Lovely Lady, You're a nurse? I don't have mochas much myself and I hate flavored coffee. I worked noc shift for years in the E.R. and always brought my own thermos's of Foldgers. lol People would say, is that special coffee? And I would say, no, just good coffee. Steve, I don't understand how it's working, do I need to download another template? Marque
steveshanks posted Sat, 14 April 2001 at 4:38 PM
no Marque just load up the obj in uvmapper and imediately go edit/new uvmap/box and leaving all the settings at default hit OK then go file/save model and again just click ok and don't change the settings.....then go file/load model and when the window pops up change the "files of type" to read all files and delete the rsr .....finally go file save texture map and use that to paint on..i'm not sure why the morph dials are disapearing BUT applying the morphs will stretch the texture anyway so it may be a good idea to create various styles then export as objs remap as above and import to create a few props instead of one morphing one.....one thing though if you turn it into a sofa when you remap it then go edit select all and drag the template till it is in proportion to the shape of the sofa to prevent stretching.......Steve

Thanks Steve! Appreciate you having patience with me on this. I've had a stupid low-grade migraine for two weeks now and it makes it tough to think things out. 8^) Marque
