I'm looking for a vehicle like the one used by shotgung0d in Something Blue.

I've tried contacting the artist by PM but got no reply.

He just uploaded something today.. give him some time to respond.. how long did you wait?
I looked in Daz's vehicles section and found this:

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
just pee on it and walk away. :-)

The 'French car site' has at least one Hummer.

(Most of their models are in LWO form, some in OBJ)

SanctumArt used to sell one at DAZ, same type as the one used in CSI:Miami. No longer available there but SA may well re release it on their own site eventually. It's a hefty model but very nicely done.
PoserWorld also have one (military stylee), pretty basic but a decent enough exterior.

Ok Spaceman, I don't know how they do things on your world but down here on planet Earth we tend to read the first post first.
And if you did, you'd see it says "vehicle". :tongue2:

I think Daz pulled the sanctum art one because of copyright violatiion. Even the hummer's front grill is trademarked, and the Hummer people sued a knock of toy manufacter to the tune of 3 million awarded in damages because they used a similar grill on a similar toy truck.

I think it had more to do with SanctumArt pulling all his stuff from all sites than any trademark problems. Story I heard was that he got tired of everyone complaining about his prices.

No, Daz pulled it within a week or two of it's release.. there was a big stink about it in th eforums, because some people wanted to buy it, but it had vanished.. same with some other military vehicle released at the same time.. it also had copyright issues.
About 6 months or so later, sanctum art left daz.. partially because he was too good to participate in the forums, and hired "sanctum art kitty", who had no people skills at all, and seemed to go out of her way to dis other content creators and customers alike.
They tried to go it alone on thier own website, and then their products started to resurface over at CP about 7 or 8 months ago.

Hmm. I'll take your word for it. I thought it went away with all his other stuff. I remember the miliatry vehicles thing, but wan't that a different vendor?
I snapped up the Hummer immediatly and I didn't pay much attention to it's store status after I got it.

I just remember daz bein greally concerned about the hummer after hearing about that lawsuit.

Civi version of a hummer at content paradise. At least that is what I am seeing in the gallery image link attached. This one looks to be a pretty decent model however, it isn't free : (

Yeah, the hummer in the original image has a word 'sanctum' on it's tire branding, so it looks like it's sanctum art's hummer.
Turbosquid has couple free hummers.

The one that PaganArtist links to at CP can be found on the Poserworks site a little bit cheaper.SamTherapy posted Mon, 21 January 2008 at 3:34 PM
I don't remember the SA version being pulled from DAZ for copyright/trademark reasons. Not doubting you, Gaz, just saying.
I do, however, remember it was pulled shortly after release because the CR2 was hosed and rotations sent it all over the place. A new version was put up a couple of days later.
I'd assumed it went with the rest of SA's store when it went from DAZ.

Yep that SA hummer was up for a long as his RDL7 sci- fi lab sets
and got pulled BY Sanctum himself when he pulled RDL7 and everything else
I got all of RDL7including thos excellent haz mat suits for the mil figures but missed out on the hummer SUV
but I did get his more recent incredibly detailed Pitbull military Vehicle
so im happy.
SamTherapy posted Mon, 21 January 2008 at 8:24 PM
