LOL!  Way off topic! :D

I don't think your eggs will be fertile - but birds lay eggs anyway, that's how you get hens' ones for breakfast without any chicks in em. It's kind of like mammals have eggs inside them but they're not fertile until... well, it's Sunday, lets leave out the details :D

Congratulations on your egg, anyway!  Isn't there a budgie at Daz or CP? You'd think someone would have made one by now...

Tally list by the cage showing hash marks for each time a finger's been nipped?

I've yet to meet a bird with an agreeable temperment. I guess that's why I'll stick to cats/dogs/fish for my own pet options.

Aaaaw!!! That's adorable :-)
Maybe if you get a boy budgie now, you could have baby birdies next time :-) Oh wait...... he ate the egg? shudder hehehehehe Maybe having babies wouldn't go over well hehehehe Kidding! At any rate, congrats :-) That'd be an experience fo a life time :-)
I used to have a budgie - cutest thing in the universe - especially when they like to cuddle, it's adorable :-) Glad to hear, and any pictures you've got of the birdies, are welcome! I love birds!!

You should keep an eye on her...my parakeet died from trying to lay an egg but something went wrong and I wasn't there to help.   :(
However..on a lighter note..our cockatiel that was born in 1979 is still healthy and strong.  :D
And boy can he rip a finger off...

grylin, did you check at e-frontier? I saw some free birds there a short time ago. AnnieD, your cockatiel is almost thirty? Wow! I rescued a beautiful Cinnamon Pearl cockatiel from a tree outside our house this past summer. He just flew up to a branch and peered in our window. At first I thougt it was just one of the nosy doves we have around here but then I saw the crest on his head. Finally gave him to my brother and his wife to be a companion to their cockatiel.

Let me introduce you to my multiple personalities. :)

Yes...he was born in Feb. of '79 when my son was 2 yrs old.  My son is now 30 and he and the bird were raised together.  We named him Fred after Barreta's cockatoo on the TV show.   I laughed when my sister bought a gray cockatiel and got a book that said they live to be around 14 yrs old. ...lol
The main thing we feed him is wild bird seed.  He picks out the seeds he doesn't like and throws them in the floor.  The seeds have sunflower seeds and other hard seeds that he likes.  He also loves scrambled eggs.
