My wallet weeps when you work, Stefan. :) All your work is of the 'MUST GET' variety. I have
all your SciFI stuff and must now start on your urban sets. Oh. my. aching. wallet. Heh.
Worth every frigging penny tho.

Superb modeling and detail! jaw dropping stuff Stefan!

Umm...what is the status of this project? I noticed their is other projects that been shown (2-3 years), and still waiting. I dislike being pushy, but being teased, then forgotten, then shown other stuff in store, but nothing.
stonemason posted Sat, 15 March 2008 at 5:20 AM
hi Robo..it's pretty much finished & will be released sometime late next month,I have several models finished but rather than dumping everything in the store at once I'll slowly release them over the coming months..first up is some scifi crates coming early next week..then a romantic italian village a couple weeks later...then..perhaps urban future
here's how the textures are looking

Stunning!

WOW!!! Once again, this is superb work!
I'm also curious about the "some scifi crates" that will be released as first items.
Anyway, I really admire your skills.

Thank you for the link...I cannot understand why or how I missed that, since I also read every day the commons thread at DAZ.
These crates look indeed very cool. I'm a buyer for sure!

lygher_xero posted Tue, 08 April 2008 at 12:22 AM
what's the average polygon count on your work? do you ever get complaints about it being too high or anything?
i'm trying to figure out how to make high detail items like this without hitting millions of polygons.
stonemason posted Tue, 08 April 2008 at 12:48 AM
I use low poly modeling techniques for my sets so no,can't say I've ever had a complaint about the polycount..this one is just over 100k (including a lot of details you dont see in these renders)
Cheers

3ds max or maya?
(sorry i'ma question whore)
your work is very inspiring indeed and i give you mad props
stonemason posted Tue, 08 April 2008 at 1:10 AM
3dsmax..though you can do the same in any app..it's all just basic poly modeling
thanks!
