looking for decent sci fi tanks that a child with a BB gun couldnt shoot apart , and that look REAL not crazed walkers or Spiders or such .. just a model for DAZ / Poser of a nice sleek ( like the brand new russan tank (( the styriker )) or a grav - abrams something like that -

if anyone is interested in modeling something like that i would be happy to use it and give credit on my comic http://datachasers.comicgenesis.com/

i cant pay anything - BUT you would get credit - also need clothing makers - prop builders - ect
if you are interested , please contact me - ( some of you might see your products in use there already ) .. still working on the credits page -

Best chance to find a free tank model would either be here (Click on the "Free Stuff" button at the top of the page) or on ShareCG (www.sharecg.com).

The only problem is that you're unlikely to find a high quality model of a modern tank (like the American M1A2 or the Russian T-90)...and if you do...its probably not textured.

By the way...not trying to be smart or anything...the Stryker is an American armored vehicle (based off of the Canadian LAV III and the Swiss Mowag Piranha). Sometimes little things like alternate names help when you're searching for something specific. Good luck.

point ... i dont know a lot about the names of such however my friend who mentioned the vehicle also mentioned half a dozen while ripping the designs up that are in the market place and in daz - due to things like ( weak unarmored joints ) ( shot traps ) ( silly placement of armor or guns ) ( silly weapons ) and such - i understand what hes talking about but im kinda restricted in what i can find - ive tried to make my own and fail meserably each time -
i have Hexxgon 2 ( thanks Daz ) and tried to make a small simple prop and wound up with a total mess .. couldnt texture it and just was useless ... so im pretty much reduced to useing laughable military tanks or hoping someone would like a new design to work with -

thats all

Yeah...I understand your frustration with the free models...though they are getting better as time goes on. You can also try Vanishing Point, they have a few quality models, though I don't believe they have what you're looking for they may have something else you can use in your military renders.

You could try here... DMI Car 3D Models http://dmi.chez-alice.fr/models1.html It has four main categories covering normal cars, military, emergency and commercial vehicles.
