I recently purchased Bryce 5.5. The quality of the renders is pretty good, except that there seems to be a problem with the eyebrow geometry for some of the Daz imports (a black line appears at the upper edge, on the skin of the brow.) What is the workaround for this bug? (It certainly must be a bug since Daz Studio doesn’t render things that way.)

That problem appears, if an object-edge, stucks in another object.
You could delete the eyebrows, or set them hidden, under Attributes. Normally, you don't need them.
hope you understand my bad english?:-)

Thanks for the information. Does this happen in Bryce 6 too?

All you need to do I found was to select the eyebrows in bryce, then move the view around so that you are very close to them - but looking at them sideways, - either adjust the director's camera manually or try left or right view - depending on where the figure is positioned.
Then you just move the eyebrows a teany tiny amount so that the edge of the eyebrow image/mat/mesh, whatever it is, is no longer partially poking through the head.
I believe that's what's causing it though, poke-through.
