So I've had Ivy Generator for a while but I can never seem to get it to work.  Anyone have some tips?

Ican't get it to work either on my old AMD with XP.

Haven't tried it in a while, but was working just fine last time (I have 4 AMD 64 x2 machines). Finicky little bugger, though! Takes a bit of trial and error every time to get something you like.

Are you saying it doesn't "start" or you can't get it to make ivy when it DOES start?

(general gripes rant begins)
Would be nice to have more options, kinda like a "Save" command would be nice...

If someone were to come out with a better version, I bet they'd get rich quick selling it for $50 - I know the free one is, well, FREE, but it's VERY limited.

Try the tutorial video. Very informative! Things don't work as you would expect in the program!

I cannot export, I get a lockup or crash everytime.  No idea why.

I, for one am grateful that it is free! Fits my budget nicely! Since it is free, it does have its idiosyncrasies, but once you learn how it works, its relatively effortless. The video tutorial really does show more than the users guide. For a free program, it does a remarkably good job. The gallery at the website is well worth the visit. And they have added a bonus texture pack for other Ivy leaves.
Do I wish it was easier to use? Absolutely:

You running the latest version of Ivy Generator? Version 1.3? I had similar problems with the previous version, but it works fine for me now. (But I'm using a Mac.)

Bub it in, of course it is going to work on a MAC.  Nothing works on the PC! lol

Got 4 AMD Windows machines - Ivy Gen works fine on all 4 - myth de-bunked ;-)

This is an old AMD, 1.6 gig, 1.5 gig ram, with an ATI 9600.  This was one of the machines that Microsoft crippled with 6 lines of code in the Registry that had to be removed during installation of the OS to get the installation to continue.

I have always had trouble with the drivers when using any graphic intense software.  I still keep it around since it is the machine I do all of my Abstract artwork on, which requires few resources, and it is paid for.

I have a newer Intel 3.7 gig I use for the 3D, but it has Vista installed so have not tried to install the Ivy Generator on it.
