How can I access Vue 6 Esprit function editor? I am lost. The Manual states "The Function Editor is accessed by clicking on the preview picture of a function with the Control key pressed, or by selecting Edit function from the contextual menu. The editor can stay open without stopping other parts of the software from being accessible." I am lost. I required step by step instructions. Thanks. Sincerely, Fidelity2.

**ok...I assume it's MATERIAL FUNCTION?

see the material preview window, top right hand side of screen?
right click it

edit material

now then, there are TWO "set ups" in the material editor: click to switch between them, the SIMPLE one has three large tabs and that's about it (colour, bump, transparency) .

Advanced has SIX tabs: colour; bumps; highlights; transparency, reflections; translucency (in Vue infinite, I don't know about Esprit) and final one is Effects.

in many of those tabs, you can access the "node editor", by right clicking a "Picture screen" (it will show a sphere or whatever object you have set up to show materials), OR by clicking the litle lightning shaped tick mark on the left of some settings.

k? :)**

To access the Function Editor for Esprit and Pro Studio:

To repeat;  Load an object with the default Material or any object with any Material.  Double click on the Material Preview in the World Browser, and then choose the Advanced Materials Editor.  As indicated by silverblade33, under any Tab, say Bump, right click and from the List Menu select Edit Function in the Bump production preview window to bring up the Function Editor.  Do the same when working with other Tabbed Attributes.

To access the Filter Editor, double click on the graph next to the Preview window of each Tabbed Attribute.
