I was looking at some images done by the famed artist, Frazetta and in a lot of his images he uses a lot of elaborate jewelry items, crowns, bracelets, armbands, etc. I found this site, http://frankfrazetta.org/ and it has a lot of his images if anyone is wanting to take a stab at doing some. Or maybe point me in the direction of where some might be. Arm band ornaments are nice to have a collection of as it's a pita to keep using the same ones over and over :)

Frazetta has done a crapload of stuff over the years. Is there any piece in particular that you want ? Link to it, maybe provide some decent images of it and someone might create it for you (hint hint :p)
Nosiferret posted Sat, 01 March 2008 at 6:53 PM
Heh, thanks for the replies. I'll check out the one web site that had a lot of his art and drop the links as I find the pieces. Thanks bunches :)

The question for content providers is.. How big, complex, ornate can we get (translation how many poly's) before it starts dragging peoples computers to a screeching halt? I've done several jewelry bits and dither like crazy about being able to add just a bit more detail. I'd love to do more complex jewelry. I did the earing in my avatar but it shows the poly count can creep up there really fast.

For those not used to Franks work, the links will take you to some images that have partial and full body nudity....Also, some of the images might take a while to load. Also added are some links to Boris Vallejo's work. Also with the same nudity warning.
Here is one that has a nice display of items, necklace, arm/bracelet and a belt if you could call it that :) http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=f42.jpg
This one has an upper arm bangle and something of a hip chain. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=f47.jpg
For this one, I love the crown, http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=ffcolr43.jpg
This link has a display of items, clothing mostly, but most of it is metal. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=ffcolr50.jpg
The image with this one has a display of clothing, like #4. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=frank_frazetta_afightingmanofmars.jpg
This has an array of arm bands, some of the images don't give a detailed show of item, but hopefully gives an idea. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=frank_frazetta_castleofsin.jpg
This one is the old classic that I think everyone has seen. No bracelets here but a covering over the breasts http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=frank_frazetta_egyptianqueen.jpg
The image on this link has an example of a cuff/bracelet. Hopefully it can be seen well enough. The matching ankle cuff can't be seen that well tho, pity. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=frank_frazetta_pharaohstomb.jpg
Several designs on the women in the image off this link. As well as the design of their "outfits" http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=frank_frazetta_rogueroman.jpg
Interesting designs on this one. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=frank_frazetta_sungoddess.jpg

Nice outfit and bracelet. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=QMan_FF_Legacy_593_Diena.jpg
Good capture of the hip belt design and bracelet. http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=QMan_FF_Legacy_599_Escape_on_Venus.jpg
I decided to take a look at Boris Vallejo's work. So far I seem to like his style before he hooked up with Julie Bell. Mostly because in just about all his images after they hooked up, she's his model constantly, so her face shows up. Granted, he used himself for the males. But I think a lot of his older stuff is still good. IMO...
Here is an unsual outfit. http://vallejo.ural.net/1972/show.php?001

Khory--That's probably why we haven't seen that much in the way of items, but then look at what Aery-Soul can put out with all those morphs. I know enough about modeling that would fit in a egg cup, but wouldn't that stuff also take a lot of polycounts? I dunno when you see those images I've posted, there's probably just a dozen poly's in those skimpy things. I think AS came close to something in the images with one of their first releases that is sold at DAZ. But then again, some of the things I've seen by the likes of Calum5 who is making all those elaborate designs in Zbrush. But I don't know his system resources.
Drifter--I've got all those great items :) What's got me on this is, is Xurge's stuff, he produced some nice arm bands and bracelets for 1 or 2 of his packages. Right after he started his own web site and pulled out of RDNA, I sent him a message asking if he'd make a package for sale on new items like that, like a "jewelry" package. Didn't get an answer and I didn't see anything like those arm bands being released in other clothing packages either so I gave up.
I've noticed that Rhiannon has released something like that in her newest package Tanya and I've got that too. I suppose I could attempt to do some fancy postwork on those items and make them appear differently. It's just a simple set of items that I'm surprised that there isn't a collection of. Or maybe they're hidden away in some clothing packs that I've missed. A staple for fantasy renders I thought.

Well, that guy drew his stuff. He wasn't a Poser artist. You might have to learn to model. I am trying to learn that myself now to make props.
