render wars was just a fun forum thread we used ot have. Basically you picked a "team" of your creation, using poser or another 3d app. Pretty much any free type figure you could get your hands on, then you would render a scene of Your team doing nasty things to the other team.
example on team used to be this little bendy bunny guy. another was say an old Xena figure. If you were the bunnies you might declare war on xena's team and render a scene having your bunnies chop xena into pieces. that would in turn result in another post by xena's team (or her allies) retaliating by making bunny soup. Uusally each image would be accompanied by a paragraph about whats going on. It was just plain fun to do.
