Well holy jumping jeebus on a POGO STICK! Absolute dynamite stuff! I'm not big into the old west stuff, but this set is awesome and very accurate work from I can tell. I didn't think ANYONE would remember the LeMat! @__@ Alrighty, I'm impressed by the work and generosity. Thank you very much.

The guns look great for brand new guns that have not been riding in a holster across the range for a year. I am the owner of a replica 1851 Colt Navy Revolver. I have owned it since I built it in 1977 and have put at least 30 pounds of melted wheel weights through it. Once a gun goes into a holster and endures daily use, the wear begins. Guns used on the range would probably have little bluing left on them and would be predominantly gun metal grey with patches of faded bluing.

Hi UVDan
Of Course
 I´m self a German Western Reenactor since 20 years ...the Finish of the modern Replicas is very different , and some very bad ...many used Original Guns have good Finish after 160 Years ! by myself is a Walker 1847 Replica (Armi San Marco)my good Compagnion since 18 Years , today in an good Condition , little blank points by the Barrelfront and cylinderfront, and a midbrown light rusty Finish by the gripframe , a other gun (from my 36 Guns) is a SAA 1873 with midnightblue Finish ..i`m shooting 3 Days with it ..and the finish was gone away , like your Navy 1851 ...for new Poser Guns , I´m trying to make a a more "Used Look" ;-) and for the others i´m trying to make in Future MATs with other Looks (Engraving, used)
Have All Days a Happy Trail !

**You are certainly off to a great start on a wild west arsenal. I love it that you have included the LeMat.
I live in Apache Junction Arizona and am a Lost Dutchman Mine hunter. We have a local legend here about a case of Colt Walker Dragoons that were on their way to an Army post. The pack train came under Indian attack as they were going through the Superstition Mountains and the guns had to be buried in a cave under a flat rock. That case of guns would be worth over fifty grand apiece today and I would sure love to stumble upon it when I am out hiking.
What type of load goes into a black powder pistol for reinacting anyway. Do you load the powder, then put a wad of newspaper in or what?****
