I decided to take up the upgrade offer that came with Carrara 5 Pro included in the 3D World Magazine...  So it was supposed to be $127.47 and offer expires March 31st.

So I went to Daz3d.com and went to the Upgrade page and noticed that the upgrade was now down to $101 from $169.95.   So I proceeded to buy the upgrade and entered the 3D World Coupon code which took an additional 25% off the $101 sale price so it came to $76.48

Thanks for the update. I don't keep up with all of that so it's nice to have folks pass along the info.

The deals you can get for a , truly, worth $750 product----makes those of us who paid real values over the years grit out teeth!

I only get lucky like this once in a while.. It always seems like that... you buy something full price and next thing you know its on sale a month or two later.

I got it for the $101. So I still think I got a good deal. At the very end it's not how much you paid that really matters, but the perception of getting a good deal. :)

I was $101 is not a bad deal either.

It all started back a few months ago when someone posted that 3D World Issue #100 was to include Carrara 5 Pro for Free!!!   After driving around to several book stores I was able to obtain a copy of this issue.  Inside that issue there was also an offer to take the upgrade route from 5 to v6 with a coupon code.   But it seems the prices have continued to fall since the magazine was printed and the coupon was still valid with the current lower prices.

With all things, though  I just buy something when I need to buy it, rather than wait till the prices to fall.

And I agree with Pinklet... getting a good deal is a matter of perception.

I will get the upgrade for $71.38 and since I have a $10 coupon will make it $61.38. Getting it sometime this weekend!!!

Hay, I got Hexagon fro $2.00. Well actually 30 something, considering that I had to get the Platinum thingy. Sure I was able to download some DAZ stuff that I never have used, but Hexagon, bugs and all has proven to be a very viable solution for me. I really like it a lot. But good deal or bad deal is not as relevant as learning to use these tools. At the end, what you get out of them is what you put in to them, just like any other relations ship in your life, but I am getting a bit philosophical.

And I Plan to use mine until it falls apart, Pinklet**,** LOL, but Im do aggree that not using it or any purchased software makes it worthless to that person.

**I purchased Carrara 3D Basics, 5,6, and 6 Pro as well as Hexagon under the Platinum club deals.  I am extremely happy to get so much for so little.

I wish Daz sold plug-ins under the Platinum Club.
