So I quickly became addicted to poser and that meant I had to buy a more powerful system. Today I bought an AMD Athalon64x dual core 5600+ with 3.2 MZ and 3 MB of Ram, with a Nividia geforce 6150 graphics card to get started. It is running on the latest fix of Vista (it installed a bunch of upgrades when I fired up the machine) and is on a newly installed D-Link network with my old computer.
When I went to load Poser from my cd-rom I got the error message. "The requested operation requires elevation" What the heck does that mean? The program refuses to load, it won't even get started.
I know the new Cd-Rom is fine because I just used it to load on Microsoft Enterprise 2007 suite. And  I just loaded Poser onto a second drive on my old machine and it worked fine, so the disk is not corrupt.
I can only figure there must be some glitch with Vista. Anybody got some idea on how to fix this?? I would be ever so grateful.
I was hoping to have some fun with the 4 day long weekend playing with the new toy but it looks like crap now :-(
