Hi everyone, my first time here - a visitor from Bryce/Poser/Mojoworld, been with Renderosity since the last millenium!
I 've been playing with the PLE of Vue 6 Infinite for a while and was impressed, especially with the Ecosystems. Had a couple of crashes, which resulted in some odd behaviour: when it crashed, I couldn't then run it, or load either Photoshop or Paintshop Pro without a re-boot.
However, I liked what I saw and bought the full download version of Vue 6 Esprit, with the Ecosystems licence. Installed it fine on my C drive (with the update), came to unlock the licence and wham...instant crash, with oddly enough, the same effect on Paintshop Pro and Photoshop.....
After a dozen or so re-installs, which all ended up the same way, I tried installing it on my wife's laptop and unlocked the licence....no problems. Back to my PC; I deleted everthing to do with Vue, then re-installed it on an external HDD that I have...it seems to work fine, including Ecosystems, but there is obviously a trade-off in disk speed compared to the C drive.
Does anyone know why it wouldn't install/run properly on my main drive, and what I might be able to do to fix the solution, as I don't want to be working off the external drive any more than I have to, as that is my main data back-up. Any idea of why a crash in Vue should then affect the other two apps? I want to move on to the Infinite 6 edition (Ecosystems 2 - I was a bit disappointed with the Ecosystems in Esprit 6), but am a bit scared to lay out £300 for something I might not be able to use.
