Has anyone used the Carbonite backup service, it seems like a great idea and I never really have any faith in discs as they seem to be more temperamental than my computer. Seems cheap too, just wandering if anyone has any experience of it. Thanks.

Well, Rush Limbaugh endorses it, so I wouldn't discount the possibility of getting your files back corrupted or at least compromised. ;-)
But all kidding aside, I've read great things about it and have been considering it too. Apparently it backs up your recent files in the background, using CPU and bandwidth only when available, which is cool.

Thanks for the info, I have sooo many files and had so much hassle with disc backup I wanted to try something else and see how it went. I’m backing up as we speak so be interesting to see how it goes. May take about a week on the initial backup.. damn you poser runtime.;)

Well, Rush Limbaugh endorses it so it should be a good product ;- ) . I know I've ordered the Steaks that he advertises and they were the best damn steaks I've ever eaten. I plan on using the service myself to back up my laptop now that my main computer died.

I usually can't afford anything he endorses...;) but then he's paid a quarter billion a year...so it's only money..;) still, try it out.
