I'm trying to put together a new computer and want to use lightwave 9 poser 7 and vue 6 infinite can I do that on a 64 bit system even though these programs are 32 bit?

Yes to Poser 7(it will install the x86 side) & V6I will auto detect the x64 OS & install as such(on the x64 side). Poser 7 is not a x64 app & V6I is (It comes in both x32 & x64 all in one)
I have no idea about LW.

When you install the x64 OS it creates 2 "program file" areas. One is x64 the other is x86 which is the same as x32. When you start installing your apps they will know exactly which side to go to :)

yeah I've got P6, Lightwave 9 and V6I, Vue autoinstalls as 64 bit.
Lightwave 9 auto installs too, not sure on first release though of LW9, but current release does auto install (9.31?),
lightwave 8 i'm pretty sure had 2 installers 1 for 64 and oen for 32 bit
