I really don't know how they do it but it's some freaking lighting!
And I honestly don't think it's recreatable in Vue but how the heck does tg² do it?
We need some lighting quality like this in vue!

Geocontrol terrain, decent map and displacement and yeah, you could probably do it in Vue. I can't drive Geocontrol well enough to do a canyon yet but I've no doubt someone will take the challenge up. You'd probably need GI as well to get the lighting in the canyon

You can use hypertextures from Vue to make an inwards going Terrain effect.
Or you can have multiple terrains twisted outwards.
But I'm more talking bout the lighting.
