Hello Everyone,
I have recently picked up some of Dinoraul's dragons at Daz and they are really amazing models. I do have a question though regarding the Dragoceros figure. I was thinking that the body of this dragon would make a really neat looking terrestrial creature so I made it's wings invisible to see what it looked like. When I did so and rotated the figure, I could see that a "hole" apparently went right through the body where the wings attached to the shoulder.
My question is, is there a way to get rid of (or fill) these holes so that the body looks intact, thereby allowing me to use it as a land creature? I really don't have any modeling experience to speak of, although I do have Hexagon ( I just haven't learned how to use it yet).
Thank you for any replies.

You'd have to close up thos eholes in hexagon and create a morph for that.
I'm not sure if hexagon can snap points to each other, but if so, it would be pretty easy work.

Hello Gareee,
Thank you for your reply. As I have not used hexagon yet, do you know where I might find a tutorial on how to "snap points together"?

nabob21, no promises, but if I decide to buy it, I should be able to do a morph for you (in ZBrush).

Coudl yo not create a /prosthetic' piece to fit over the holes? select the polys around the hole in Poser, spawn them as a prop and export it into your modeler of choice. Close up the holes, import it back into Poser and use the dragoceros rig as it's joint setup, then add it as a character. Now you should be able to conform the prosthetic to the original figure.
I'm not sure creating a morph where you actually delete and add polygons is possible - or am I completely wrong?

Are you actually allowed to modify the mesh of a commercial product like this (ie adding/deleting parts of the mesh) ?

You cannot create a morph when your morph obj has more or less polys than your target.

You can do whatever you want if it's for a personnal use. But you are not allowed to distribute or share any commercial product, even modified, except if clearly stated in the copyright.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who has responded. I tried to close the holes in hexagon but that didn't work for me. I ended up taking jonthecelt's suggestion and made some "prosthetics" or patches to cover the holes and that seems to do the job fairly well.

Odds are, when i release the dinworld 2 dragon plus sets, they'll include mor poses to hide wings and such, as usual.
They are probably a month or two away though, since I'm still doing warcow products and support.

Will you release plus sets for all the eight Dragon Clutch creatures?

Well, I'm not sure if all warrant it, but some do NEED it pretty despirately.

I didn't realize there was any restriction so long as you do not redistribute, i.e., I always assumed you could do whatever you want for commercial use as well, so long as you are doing it for illustrative purposes (and not redistributing the model itself).
Can't you?
Clearly, I'll have to recheck the Daz license agreement (and others), but I've always been under that impression.

By the way, nabob21, after reviewing the information on the model, I don't plan to purchase, not any time soon anyway. So no morph will be forthcoming from me. Sorry. But good luck with it anyway.
