Earth Day (April 22) is over.  You might have noticed several Earth Day images in the galleries. I took the initiative to invite artists to submit an image to commemorate the event. Several did, despite the tight deadline. Other artists posted Earth Day images on their own. I've compiled a list of all 21 images posted here dedicated to Earth Day 2008, listed alphabetically. If I missed anyone, please let me know.

Take a moment to view them. You will finds works from some of Renderosity's most accomplished and popular artists, and some of the most creative. They represent a wide variety of styles and perspectives, but they all have one thing in common. They support a collective global effort to raise awareness of the dangers facing our planet. Art can be a powerful medium because it can communicate an idea very efficiently, while allowing for creatvity and innovation.

I want to thank all who responded to the invitation and all who felt compelled to mark this important day through their art.

 I was not aware of the existence of the Earth Day in spite of the fact that I am extremely aware of the ecological problems, anyway I have always been against nuclear energy and to save energy in general. The TV spoke of that Day very little in my country, though also journalists seem very concerned. I am grateful to ACue for having organized this event at RR. Now I hope that next year a much more important initiative could done under the auspices of the RR managing team, but thanks to ACue it was a first step, funny and sympathetic to begin with.

Now friends do remember that in fact everyday is an Earth Day!
