I am trying to do an animation scene.. the camera animation..
I would like the camera to start above the city and work it's way down and through the city..
I am totally confused!

I am not too familiar with the animation workings of Bryce but I wonder if you could use a path and attach the camera to it and have the camera follow the path. Tho I am not bright about doing these things, maybe you could look up some Bryce animation tutorials here.
Maybe somebody more experienced and an animation expert would come in behind me and give you better instructions???

I tried to do that with the path.. I am doing something wrong.. it's probaly so dang simple.. I just don't see it..

You have a extensive tutorial about camera animation here (Brycetech tutorials)

The general idea is that you make the animation of the camera, using the top or lateral views so you can easily position the camera where you want.
Finally, you select the "camera view" and render the animation.

Path's are best when dealing with complex flyovers.
I would place an invisible object on the path ahead of the camera then make the camera track the object. That will give you smooth transitions when your path turns.

In Bryce, while nothing is selected go to the menu and under “Objects” select “Create Path” or simply press “Alt + P” (Windowz). This will create a standard sign curve path for you. While the path is selected you can add vertices to it by holding down the “Alt” key and clicking on the path where you want the new vertex to go. Hovering your mouse cursor over the individual vertex and moving it to where you need it can reposition these vertices. Don’t forget that you can view and move the vertices in 3D depending on which screen view you choose. The same can be done with the preset paths.

For lots of information visit Brycetech http://www.brycetech.com/index.html . Read the tutorials from the left hand menu, specifically Animation and Camera Animation. These should tell you most things about positioning, keyframes, etc.
There was another tutorial I can't find now that explained path editing better. Here's part that I can find about the nodes.
Press an hold alt and click on an empty portion of the path to create a new control node.
Click on the node Press and hold alt and drag the mouse to twist the point.
Click on the node Press and hold C and drag the mouse to change continuity at the point.
Click on the node Press and hold T and drag the mouse to change tension at the point.
Click on the node Press and hold B and drag the mouse to change Bias at the point.
These are a very rough way to make the path bank, make the turns sharp, etc. There needs to be a node interface written that allows the user to type values in to fine tune the settings. As it is I suggest minimal changes, practice, and save a copy of your work before you play around.
