Today, Allen, the administrator, has denied me access to the site, and threatened to sue me unless I delete all the Poserworld content I've collected over the years.

If you can, read their TOS... It states they can do anything they want, and keep your money. The TOS says you have no legal recourse except to stop doing business with them.

I think you might have misunderstood.

Poserworld has been around for over 9 years now, and they wouldn't still be in business if they took that stance.  Lots of people have been members at one time and no longer a member at this time, and they are still allowed to use the content they downloaded while a member.

Some people become a member for a while. Take a break and then join again months later when there is more new content added.

it may be possible to resolve this issue with poserworld's admins, but any contentious
thread may not be in the best interests of any of the parties (the OP, poserworld, 'rosity
et al.)

Welll I too got an email today from Allan talking about people abusing the site with Download Accelerators. I don't use one myself, so I assumed it was a mass mailing. Sounds to me like one of our culprits has delurked.

This is something that the OP should take up with Poserworld. There's nothing anyone here can do about it, and these "name-em and shame 'em" threads are counterproductive, so I'm locking this thread
