I posted this over at Cornucopia but there's not been an answer, so I thought I'd try here. I'm thinking of buying Face_Off's Skin Realism Kit for V4. I render all my Poser stuff in Vue 6 Pro. It does allow me to import Poser Shaders. Does this product and the changes it makes to the skin import into Vue 6? Also, does the Face_Off package for M3 work in Poser 7, too? Thanks in advance. First try just a regular Poser import in Vue using the Poser shaders. If your computer can handle it, I'm thinking that yes it should look better using Face_Offs products. I don't use his stuff since I have Infinite and SkinVue.

Thanks, Peggy. The regular Poser shaders look pretty good. I am hoping this does too.

The skin shaders are so dependent on lighting that if you have a heavy AO scene, then they actually do nothing. I like the AO and ambient lighting ability of Vue and this is basically why I use it for scenes.
So, it's all a trade-off. Poser works so well with skin shaders but its renders are not so good. Vue renders beautifully but the skin shaders are lost in many cases because of the lighting set-up.
That's life.

Thanks, Ashley. I went ahead and bought the package and used Runtime DNA's Render Studio just to see what it would look like and it turned out darned well. Ambient Occlusion is so slow to render for me that I rarely use it. I usually use an HDRI and set lights as appropriate.
