Hi my friends!
im planning on getting a new Poser Version for my new iMac. im NOT a 3d expert; i'm NOT a modeler and it's not my goal right now. i have Poser 6 - Mac (until now) works pretty good, besides it crashes every now and then, specially with Victoria 4.2. I changed my computer and got a new iMac full of RAM especially for my Poser addiction.
Im a webcomic creator. i found in Poser everything i need to enjoy my passion and time BUT. I think it's time to upgrade. This is the part where i need your advice. Since i heard Poser 7 works so well on this kind of Intel iMac, renders more fast, multiple undo's etc. it's a great candidate. BUT then i saw PoserPro seems really cool, but the price it's somehow scary for me. I can happily spend that amount 4 times here at the Marketplace... but for an Upgrade?... don't know. Unless you recommend me
Im not interested in modeling. Even though i wanted i cannot, since i have no time. I fully enjoy the quality and experience of shopping here. I do. So while there's an Aery Soul, Out of Touch, Hongyu's, etc doing such a great work, i plan to stay shopping.
What do i want? A More stable version of Poser who renders more fast and HDRI Light... yes!... that's all i need to create my comics.
SO I HAVE 2 questions for you:
1- What do you guys recommend me? Poser 7 or Poser Pro?
2- In any case which one can be more useful for my comics and works better with Poser/? Carrara or Vue??
Thanks you so much. Your help means a lot to me!

Since you own Poser 6, the upgrade to Poser 7 would be $ 129.99 and to Poser 7 Pro Base $ 149.99. For the difference of $ 20 I would advise taking the Pro version. No need for you to buy the full version of Pro. For people not owning a version of Poser 6 my advise would be to buy Poser 7, the Pro version (base or full) is too expensive.
For Carrara you need to keep a version of Poser 6 installed if you use TransPoser (dynamic cloth only).

There is an error in P7 on Leopard that prevents rendering in a separate process. Look here:

Poser Pro is reported to work, however. (I don't have it myself, only Poser 7.)
